Life’s Abundance

Life’s Abundance looks to be a food primarily ordered off of the internet, so you won’t find it in stores. For that reason it’s not as well known as other brands, which is a shame as it’s a very good food. Let’s take a look…

Having chicken meal first is a good indicator that this food will have solid animal protein sources, and it does. The protein isn’t sneakily inflated by the use of cheaper grain-based protein sources such as corn – that’s great to see. We also find eggs and whitefish meal in the food that will contribute additional protein, but the chicken is far more significant.

The primary grain is ground brown rice, which is a solid choice and a much more nutritious grain than the inferior white rice. In recent years we’ve seen a trend towards grain-free foods, but that doesn’t mean a decent grain-based food should be overlooked. Good grains can provide our dogs with energy, and the fiber can aid digestion. We also have chicken fat as an excellent source of energy and vital omega-6.

It’s always great to see flax seed in a dog food, another source of omega fats for health and coat. It’s something we should see in all foods.

Lastly, the fruits and vegetables are well represented here, and that’s usually the mark of a good food. All in all this is very well rounded, and buying it online gives you the convenience of delivery to your door.

What’s good about this food….

Chicken meal is first, brown rice is a solid grain, flax is present, fruits, vegetables, vitamins and minerals.

….and what’s not so good.

Nothing worth mentioning.
