Chicken meal is the #1 ingredient, so that’s wonderful to see. It’s followed by a couple grains and peas★★★★★ Excellent source of protein/carbohydrates/fiber., and then millet. My main concern with this is that it seems to be a bit heavy on the grains for what I’d like to see in a cat food. Turkey meal and lamb meal do make appearances not too far down the chain of ingredients, though.
They do utilize eggs★★★★ Good source of protein, free of shell. for protein, taurine★★★ Standard source, necessary for cats who are unable to manufacture taurine on their own, helps regulate nervous system, promotes thyroid and cardiovascular health. Some benefit to dogs. is high up on the ingredients, and flaxseed★★★★★ Whole seeds provide best omega-3 fatty acids and nutritive fiber. for Omega fatty acids is also somewhat high up on the list.
All in all, it’s a solid food for a cat that isn’t super active. Like I said, it may have more grains than I would like, but a sedentary cat should be fine. The lack of fillers like corn and wheat is great, and the non-use of byproducts or animal digest★ Rendered, by chemical and/or enzymatic process, non-descriptive animal tissues used for flavor. is wonderful as well. This is a company that cares about their food.
What’s good about this food….
4 animal meal products, high quality grains, eggs★★★★ Good source of protein, free of shell. for protein, flaxseed★★★★★ Whole seeds provide best omega-3 fatty acids and nutritive fiber..
….and what’s not so good.
Would like to see more fruits/veggies, but that’s very minor.
