So much meat, fish, organs (whole prey)
Transparency with ingredients
Freeze dried to retain nutrients

I have a lot of respect for Orijen as one of the best pet foods on the market. Recent years has shown a slur on grain-free foods, which happens to be very convenient for BIG corporate manufacturers who sell bags of wheat, rice, and corn (such as Mars, Nestle, and Colgate-Palmolive). Without any real conclusive evidence my personal belief is many issues result from a lack of variety, especially with poor quality products, rather than whether grain or grain-free ingredients are used.

Orijen products, however, are jam packed with whole prey meat.

Let’s take a look at the Tundra formula…

The first thing you’ll notice about the ingredients is they list percentages. That’s great to see, and ensures transparency with what the product actually is.

The second thing you’ll notice is the first seventeen ingredients (approx 80%) are all meat and fish, inclusive of nutrient-rich organs. It doesn’t stop there either, as many ingredients further down are also sourced from animals.

Lentils, peas, chickpeas, and beans all feature, each having nutritional merit, such as protein, vitamins, minerals, and fibre. If you’re concerned about legumes, then it’s the products which are 80% legumes which you really need to worry about.

If all the above isn’t good enough, being freeze-dried ensures nutrients will remain intact far more than they would in any kibble cooked at a high temperature.

If you can afford a wonderful product such as this, then do so. Even if you feed a kibble or cheaper food alongside to save money.

Highly recommended.
