I was on the fence with the Now Fresh Grain Free offering from Petcurean, but I have to say their Go! range is much better. This review is for the Grain Free Chicken, Turkey, and Duck recipe which is a high protein food.
This food is packed with meat, which is great as cats are carnivores. It’s also great to see a meat meal (chicken meal) as the prime ingredient, which is what you’d expect from a high-end food. This is backed up with a range of chicken, turkey, and duck meats and meals. It surprises me they’ve added peas★★★★★ Excellent source of protein/carbohydrates/fiber. and whole eggs★★★★ Good source of protein, free of shell. to further enhance the amount of protein in this food, a whopping 48%.
There’s all manner of fruits and vegetables in this food, and good quality ones at that. A slight down side is phosphoric acid★ A sequestering agent for rendered animal fats — implies poor quality fats are used, source of phosphorous. is used, and this is something I don’t like to see in a cat food. It’s an acidifier used to ensure the urinary pH of the food is balanced.
If you’re after a high-protein food for an active cat then this is a good option. It’s between 4 and 5 stars but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt.
What’s good about this food….
Excellent range of protein sources, backed up with fruits, veggies, and potatoes for carbs.
….and what’s not so good.
Nothing worth mentioning, but keep in mind this is a high protein food best fed to active cats.
