Dr Tims Pursuit

Dr Tims Pursuit

The availability of this is pretty limited as of now, but this is certainly a top tier food that is worthy of consideration by anybody. One thing I liked about this manufacturer was that they gave explanations of why they included each and every ingredient in their foods. This differs from manufacturers which boast about quality ingredients, but slip in brewers rice or soybean meal and hope nobody knows any better.

They make a couple varieties of food; this is for the food that’s 30 percent protein and an “every day” type food. The other variety is a more high performance food for the more active of dogs.

The proteins are great, with chicken and eggs present. Salmon oil, canola oil and flaxseed meal are excellent fatty acid choices. The vitamin supplements are welcome as well. All in all, a terrific food if you are in its distribution area.

Where to buy?

What’s good about this food….

Excellent protein choices, grain choices are high quality but limited, great Omega acid sources.

….and what’s not so good.

Nothing.

  1. Do your homework dog lovers..these so called premium dog food supplier’s. .are premium dog food liers..flaxseed is the jack inthe box of omega s..
they dont even tell us how many milligrams of sodium (salt) they put in their products and you can forget about a nutritional fact sheet that should be on tbere packaging cause that dont exist either. .unless you’re a human..

  2. Hello, I noticed the feeding guidelines on their site only go up to 100 lbs. Would you happen to know if large breed dogs need an “actual” large breed formula, or if a formula like Dr. Tim’s Kenesis would provide adequate nutrition? Thanks!

    • Hi Melissa, Pursuit Premium is very high in protein (30%) which is unnecessary for larger breed dogs and can cause joint problems for large breed puppies. Kinesis would be the better choice, but even that’s quite high in protein. Try looking for a food with up to 23% protein, such as Blue Freedom.

  3. Canola oil is NOT GOOD FOR PETS – WHERE’S YOUR BRAIN?
