Halo Spots Stew
Lamb is the top ingredient before any grains, backed up with whole peas and eggs which are fantastic. Once dehydrated, the lamb won’t be as prominent in the ingredient list, so the protein content of the peas and eggs are needed. Oats and barley are tip top as far as grains go, and there’s no inclusion of cheaper grains which is great to see.
The food is packed with decent ingredients – sweet potatoes which are better than normal potatoes, apples, blueberries, green beans, carrots, cranberries, zucchini, and alfalfa (which is Arabic for “father of all foods”). Wow!
My only criticism is it could do with more meat content which it’s definitely lacking in. It’s held up by other protein sources such as peas and eggs which give it 4 stars. It’s relatively expensive being a holistic food, but the high quality ingredients justify this somewhat.
The kibble is small which means it’s good for smaller dogs too.
